Accessible to newcomers, yet interesting for scholars

Dr. Savi, a true renaissance man (physician, poet, musician, aesthete, multi-lingual translator, theologian, administrator) has given the world another excellent tome. *Towards the Summit of Reality* primarily provides background knowledge to allow the reader to move closer toward understanding Baha'u'llah's greatest mystical work, His *The Seven Valleys*, as well as another mystical work, *The Four Valleys*. Intelligently written, systematic, and emotionally sensitive, *Towards the Summit of Reality* was a page-turner for me. I devoured it. Students of religion, those interested in the mystical path, those intrigued by Sufism, those wanting to understand the Baha'i Faith better, or simply people who want material to help them ponder the spiritual journey, will find this book useful, highly readable, enjoyable, and full of important insights. Personally, as a developmental psychologist, I find the spiritual developmental journey in *The Seven Valleys* fascinating, and Dr. Savi has now helped me understand that text much better than I ever did before.
