Where is the standalone violin part?

Hello!

I just noticed today that the book didn't come with the standalone violin notation part. I only received the piano score (with the violin part included, but is too small) This is very sad for me. Is there something that I can do to get the standalone violin notation part that was supposed to come with it???

I got this text to help with tutoring a student using it. Just having a copy of his text helps with the sequencing of concepts that have been frustrating him. Since he seldom read his text there were few problems with some concepts that are not well presented. Once he began to use the text as a resource for learning he found that his interpretation of textual material needed elaboration. Thetext contains a few minor errors but in general is well written. It needs augmentation in order to serve as a true honors text, particularly with the problem set at the end of each chapter. I would not choose it as an honors text.

Accessible to newcomers, yet interesting for scholars

Dr. Savi, a true renaissance man (physician, poet, musician, aesthete, multi-lingual translator, theologian, administrator) has given the world another excellent tome. *Towards the Summit of Reality* primarily provides background knowledge to allow the reader to move closer toward understanding Baha'u'llah's greatest mystical work, His *The Seven Valleys*, as well as another mystical work, *The Four Valleys*. Intelligently written, systematic, and emotionally sensitive, *Towards the Summit of Reality* was a page-turner for me. I devoured it. Students of religion, those interested in the mystical path, those intrigued by Sufism, those wanting to understand the Baha'i Faith better, or simply people who want material to help them ponder the spiritual journey, will find this book useful, highly readable, enjoyable, and full of important insights. Personally, as a developmental psychologist, I find the spiritual developmental journey in *The Seven Valleys* fascinating, and Dr. Savi has now helped me understand that text much better than I ever did before. About the Author
Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi is a world-renowned Islamic scholar of theology, jurisprudence, Prophetic tradition, and a spiritual leader to thousands of Muslims across the globe. He has been named one of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world for the past five years (theMuslim500.com). Shaykh Al-Yaqoubi was born in Damascus in 1963 and trained from an early age in the Islamic sciences by his father, who was an Imam and instructor at the Grand Umayyad Mosque in Damascus. He descends from a scholarly family that traces its lineage back to the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Three of his ancestors were also Imams at the Grand Umayyad Mosque. A Sufi Master of the Shadhili Order, his primary focus is on the purification of the heart, the spiritual well being of Muslims, and the rectification of their social conduct and interaction within society based on highest virtues of the Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him). He has travelled around the world teaching Muslims, and bringing awareness to and spreading moderate Islam. Thousands of students have studied under him, many of whom are now Imams and teachers in the Islamic World – in the Arab world, the West, the Far East, and South Africa. Shaykh Al-Yaqoubi was one of the first scholars to speak up against the Assad regime and subsequently, against the rise of ISIS, denouncing its atrocities and proving its actions to be un-Islamic. To this end, he has delivered numerous lectures, penned articles, and given several TV and paper interviews to media agencies such as CNN, BBC, and PBS. He is the author of several books in Arabic in the areas of Islamic law and Prophetic Tradition. He speaks Arabic, English, and Swedish, and reads French and German.

Excellent and much needed book written by one of the ...

Excellent and much needed book written by one of the top scholars of the Muslim world. I also bought the English version of this valuable book. ISIS needs to be fought on different fronts, but most important one is the intellectual front. ISIS can be defeated militarily, but if it's not defeated at the intellectual level, another form of ISIS will emerge.

Excellent read in the Arabic language. It explains in detail why ISIS logic is not Islamic and is the best gift parents can give to their kids to read to protect them. It also comes in English for those born and raised in the West.

Don't pay too much!

The below reviews are good. This is about the price. DO NOT pay $100 for this. The book is still in print. Just contact the book store at either the Annapolis or Santa Fe campus of St. John's College and have them mail you a copy. The college press still prints this in limited quantities.

First-rate speculations from a true philosopher

I cannot but recommend all of Klein's works, among which this one. This work is a collection of essays and lectures on matters of liberal education, ranging from Vergil, to the principles underlying the philosophy of Leibniz, to fascinating analyses of Plato's dialogues. Klein spent the better part of his career as a tutor at St. John's College, teaching the Great Books. His knowledge of Greek, combined with an acute mind, and a very wide reading, makes him an unparalleled expositor of the ideas that have shaped and reshaped the Western world. As each chapter attacks a different problem, the book is a convenient read. The various chapters are connected by Klein's brilliance, but otherwise do not depend essentially upon each other. Nevertheless, I could not point out a single topic that was not of value.

Klein and Pieper

My favorite 20th century philosophers.

It's too bad Amazon doesn't have this in stock. This is a gem. Klein fosters wonder. He raises important questions, leads you in inquiry, and spurs you on to inquire more. He led me back to Euclid; for that alone I owe him a debt of gratitude. Like Pieper, he cannot be overrated, I think.

All these essays are worth rereading from time to time. Some are beyond my scope (e.g. I lack the grammar for following Copernicus and their are too many things already on my plate to find time to acquire it).

I'm grateful to him.
